We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established nursery in Northampton seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Room Leader to join their leadership team. This is an excellent opportunity for either an existing Room Leader or an ambitious Senior Practitioner ready to take the next step in their Early Years career. The Opportunity As the nursery Room Leader, you'll be responsible for leading the day-to-day operation of your room, ensuring children receive exceptional care, learning opportunities and support whilst helping your team deliver consistently high standards. You'll play an important role in creating an environment where children feel safe, confident and excited to learn. Your responsibilities will include: * Leading and supporting practitioners within the room * Planning engaging learning experiences in line with the EYFS * Monitoring children's progress and development * Supporting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing * Building strong partnerships with parents and carers * Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, care and compliance * Coaching and mentoring colleagues to help them develop This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll lead from the front and make a genuine difference every day. What We're Looking For We're seeking someone who: * Holds a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above * Has experience working within an Early Years setting * Has a strong understanding of the EYFS * Demonstrates excellent safeguarding knowledge * Enjoys supporting and developing colleagues * Builds positive relationships with children, families and staff * Leads with warmth, professionalism and confidence Previous Room Leader or supervisory experience would be highly advantageous, although strong Senior Practitioners looking to progress are also encouraged to apply.
