With a capacity for up to 34 children daily, our smaller size ensures personalised attention and tailored learning experiences. At Harpole, we pride ourselves on our close-knit community, where every child is cherished and supported by our dedicated team. Harpole Day Nursery is conveniently located in Harpole village, near junction 16 on the M1. Ample parking is available onsite. What being a Nursery Room Leader involves As a Nursery Room Leader, you will work alongside the Nursery Manager to lead and inspire your team while delivering exceptional care and education. Key responsibilities include: • Leading and mentoring the team to provide high-quality early years education with passion and energy. • Supporting the Nursery Manager to ensure smooth nursery operations and consistent quality. • Acting as a role model by promoting initiative, creativity, and high standards of care. • Building strong relationships with families, colleagues, and external agencies to support the best outcomes for children. • Overseeing the team’s implementation of the EYFS framework, ensuring engaging learning opportunities. • Taking charge of nursery operations in the Nursery Manager’s absence. • Encouraging continuous improvement through feedback and supporting professional development. • Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that meets each child’s needs. We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established nursery in Northampton seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Room Leader to join their leadership team. This is an excellent opportunity for either an existing Room Leader or an ambitious Senior Practitioner ready to take the next step in their Early Years career. The Opportunity As the nursery Room Leader, you'll be responsible for leading the day-to-day operation of your room, ensuring children receive exceptional care, learning opportunities and support whilst helping your team deliver consistently high standards. You'll play an important role in creating an environment where children feel safe, confident and excited to learn. Your responsibilities will include: * Leading and supporting practitioners within the room * Planning engaging learning experiences in line with the EYFS * Monitoring children's progress and development * Supporting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing * Building strong partnerships with parents and carers * Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, care and compliance * Coaching and mentoring colleagues to help them develop This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll lead from the front and make a genuine difference every day. What We're Looking For We're seeking someone who: * Holds a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above * Has experience working within an Early Years setting * Has a strong understanding of the EYFS * Demonstrates excellent safeguarding knowledge * Enjoys supporting and developing colleagues * Builds positive relationships with children, families and staff * Leads with warmth, professionalism and confidence Previous Room Leader or supervisory experience would be highly advantageous, although strong Senior Practitioners looking to progress are also encouraged to apply.
