    Job Description Room Leader – Baby Room £29,000 per year | Level 3 | 40 Hours per Week The very first years of a child's life are some of the most important, and as a Baby Room Leader, you'll play a key role in helping them feel safe, secure, and confident as they begin their early years journey. This Good Ofsted-rated nursery is looking for an experienced Level 3 Room Leader to lead its welcoming Baby Room. Following an exciting refurbishment, the nursery now offers even more inspiring spaces where children can learn, play, and thrive. Bright, calming environments have been carefully designed to encourage exploration and independence, while spacious outdoor play areas provide babies and young children with opportunities to discover the world around them in a safe and nurturing way. The nursery prides itself on building meaningful relationships with families, working in partnership to ensure every child receives the very best start in life. What We're Looking For • Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent). • Previous experience working within a Baby Room or leading an early years room. • Experience as a Room Leader , Deputy Room Leader , or an experienced Senior Nursery Practitioner ready to step into a leadership role. • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding requirements. • Excellent communication and leadership skills. • A nurturing, patient, and positive approach to supporting babies and young children. • A passion for building strong partnerships with families and creating the best possible start for every child. What You'll Receive • £29,000 per year • Pension scheme • Ongoing training and professional development • Life assurance • Paid DBS check • Long service awards • Competitive annual leave • Wellbeing programme • Opportunity to work within a beautifully refurbished, Good Ofsted-rated nursery Your Role • Lead the day-to-day running of the Baby Room, ensuring exceptional standards of care and education. • Inspire, support, and mentor your room team to deliver high-quality early years practice. • Create a calm, stimulating environment where babies feel secure and confident to explore. • Plan engaging activities that support each child's individual development through play. • Encourage children's independence while responding sensitively to their individual routines and needs. • Build strong, trusting relationships with parents and carers, working in partnership to support every child's development. • Monitor observations, assessments, and learning journeys to ensure children continue to make excellent progress. • Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies are consistently followed. All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements, including an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references, and verification of the right to work in the UK, in line with safeguarding responsibilities.
