    School Caretaker Location: Liverpool Setting: Primary School Pay Rate: £18.00 per hour Contract Type: Temporary We are currently recruiting for a School Caretaker to join a friendly and welcoming primary school in Liverpool on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced caretaker or site assistant who takes pride in maintaining a safe, secure, and well-presented school environment. Working Hours • Monday to Friday • 7:00am - 11:00am • 3:00pm - 6:00pm Key Responsibilities • Opening and locking the school premises • Carrying out routine maintenance and minor repairs • Ensuring the school site is clean, safe, and secure • Monitoring the condition of the building and reporting maintenance issues • Carrying out basic health and safety checks • Assisting with deliveries and setting up rooms for school activities where required • Liaising with contractors and supporting the day-to-day running of the site The Ideal Candidate Will Have • Previous experience in a caretaking, site maintenance, or facilities role • Good practical maintenance and DIY skills • Knowledge of health and safety procedures • The ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively • A reliable, flexible, and proactive approach APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR SPENCER CLARKE GROUP All applications are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, professional reference checks, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) in line with our stringent safeguarding policy. • Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and all employment breaks must be explained. • You must have legal right to work in the UK. • You must be willing to attend a registration interview. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
