The Role As a Teaching Assistant, youll play a vital role in supporting pupils learning, wellbeing and personal development. Working closely with the Class Teacher and wider team, youll help create a caring, structured and stimulating environment where every learner is supported to reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities • Support pupils with learning activities and reinforce concepts taught by the teacher. • Promote positive behaviour and adapt your approach to meet individual needs. • Assist with personal care tasks including hygiene, dressing and eating when required. • Encourage independence, confidence and personal development. • Provide clear, accurate feedback on pupil progress, behaviour and wellbeing. • Help prepare learning resources and contribute to lesson planning and evaluation. About You Essential Qualifications • GCSE Maths & English (minimum Functional Skills Level 2). • Level 2 Award in Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools (or willingness to work towards). Essential Skills & Experience • A child?centred approach and commitment to treating every learner as an individual. • Ability to promote independence and positive behaviour. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Confident ICT skills and a collaborative working style. Desirable • Experience within a SEND setting. • Understanding of safeguarding principles and child protection procedures.
