Role: Assistant Cook Location: Southlands School, Lymington Hours: 25 per week, term time only Salary: £14,171.65 per annum Southlands School have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Cook to join our team! We are looking for a highly motivated individual that is able to work to deadlines, have experience in producing fresh and healthy food from scratch with the ability to work autonomously. The Role: The role of the Assistant Cook involves being responsible for all aspects of catering within the establishment under the supervision of the Cook. It is about assisting in making sure the kitchen produces attractive food to a high nutritional standard for a range of meals and occasions. It therefore draws upon a range of practical skills, requires a sound knowledge base and, not least, the ability to relate to colleagues and the young people who live here. The School: Southlands School is an Ofsted 'Outstanding' rated school. With a student base of 7-16 year olds with Autism & Complex Learning. Our students gain valuable life skills, qualifications and confidence to support their onward journey towards independence.
