Behaviour Mentor

Do you thrive on building positive relationships and supporting young people to succeed? Specialist schools across South Shields are looking for Behaviour Mentors to support pupils who require additional behavioural, emotional and pastoral support. You'll be responsible for: • Acting as a positive role model. • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis. • Managing challenging behaviour using positive strategies. • Encouraging engagement within the classroom. • Working closely with teaching staff and families. Ideal candidates will have: • Previous experience within education, youth work or residential care. • Excellent communication skills. • A patient and empathetic approach. • The ability to remain calm under pressure.
