Are you confident, adaptable, and passionate about working with young people? We're looking for enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Leicester from August 2026 . Whether you're an experienced Cover Supervisor, a graduate considering a career in teaching, or someone with transferable experience working with young people, we'd love to hear from you. The Role As a Cover Supervisor, you'll play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning by supervising classes during teacher absences. You'll deliver pre-planned lessons, manage classroom behaviour, and ensure students remain engaged and focused throughout the school day. What You'll Be Doing • Supervising classes across a range of subjects using pre-prepared lesson plans. • Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies. • Encouraging student participation and maintaining a positive learning environment. • Supporting pupils with their learning while promoting high expectations. • Building positive relationships with students and school staff. We're Looking For Someone Who Has • Excellent communication and classroom management skills. • Confidence leading groups of secondary-aged students. • A calm, professional, and adaptable approach. • Experience working with young people in education, coaching, youth work, mentoring, or similar settings (desirable but not essential). • A genuine passion for supporting students and schools.
