General Cover Teacher – Secondary Schools Location: Croydon (CR2) Daily Supply | Flexible Work | September Start Job Summary Smart Teachers is recruiting qualified Secondary Teachers for daily supply opportunities across a number of partner schools in Croydon (CR2) . We are looking for adaptable teachers who enjoy working across different schools and subjects while maintaining high standards of teaching and behaviour management. Due to the nature of same-day supply bookings, our partner schools are particularly interested in teachers who live locally to CR2 and can arrive at school within 30–45 minutes of being contacted. About the Role • Deliver engaging lessons across your subject specialism and provide general cover when required. • Adapt quickly to different school environments and year groups. • Maintain excellent classroom and behaviour management. • Follow school policies and ensure students remain engaged in learning. • Flexible day-to-day, short-term and long-term opportunities available. About the School We work with a range of welcoming and well-led secondary schools across Croydon (CR2) , offering regular supply work throughout the academic year. Schools have supportive leadership teams, excellent behaviour policies, and one of our partner schools also offers free on-site parking . Requirements To be considered for this role, you will: • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) . • Have recent experience teaching in UK secondary schools. • Be confident delivering lessons and adapting to different subjects where required. • Demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management. • Be professional, reliable and flexible. • Ideally live within easy travelling distance of CR2 to accommodate same-day bookings. Salary Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). • Recent UK secondary teaching experience. • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one). • Eligibility to work in the UK. #smartteacher
