Cover Supervisor

Cover Supervisor – Birley Academy, Sheffield The Supply Register is working in partnership with Birley Academy to recruit a Cover Supervisor to support the school with high-quality, flexible staffing. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience working with young people who is confident leading a classroom and supporting learning in the absence of the class teacher. The role includes: • Supervising whole classes during teacher absence• Delivering pre-set lesson materials• Maintaining a positive and well-managed classroom environment• Supporting students to stay focused and engaged• Managing behaviour in line with school policies• Providing feedback on pupil progress and behaviour We’re looking for candidates who: • Have experience working with secondary-aged students• Are confident with classroom and behaviour management• Communicate effectively and professionally• Understand safeguarding responsibilities• Hold high expectations for student behaviour and learning• Hold (or are willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service Why apply? • Weekly pay every Friday• Competitive pay rates• Ongoing training and development opportunities• Supportive school and recruitment environment• Valuable experience in a secondary school setting• Pension scheme options Interested?
