Are you an enthusiastic Early Career Teacher ready to begin your teaching journey in Key Stage 2? Would you like the opportunity to choose the year group that best suits your strengths while receiving outstanding support throughout your ECT induction?
A highly supportive primary school in Waltham Forest is looking to welcome a motivated KS2 ECT from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a long-term role for your induction year, with the school intending to offer a permanent contract from August 2027.
Whether you feel most confident teaching Year 3, 4, 5 or 6, the school is happy to discuss the most suitable placement to help you flourish during your first year in the classroom.
The Role
As a KS2 ECT, you will:
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that inspire a love of learning.
• Create a positive classroom environment where pupils feel supported and challenged.
• Assess progress and adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners.
• Work closely with experienced colleagues and year group partners.
• Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and the wider school community.
• Take part in a structured ECT programme with dedicated mentoring.
The Ideal Candidate
We're looking for someone who:
• Is completing, or has recently completed, a PGCE with QTS.
• Is excited to begin their ECT induction in Key Stage 2.
• Demonstrates strong classroom practice and excellent subject knowledge.
• Has a positive attitude and a willingness to learn from experienced teachers.
• Can motivate pupils and build meaningful relationships.
• Is committed to delivering high-quality education and becoming an active member of the school community.
