Job Title: Early Years Educator Apprentice (Level 3) Location: Strong Tower, 26 Admiralty Close, Lewisham, Deptford, London SE8 4SS Salary: £15,704 per annum Hours: 40 hours per week (on a shift basis) Contract Type: Apprenticeship, with the possibility of a full-time role upon completion Setting: Nursery / Pre-School About Us Strong Tower is a well-established nursery located in Deptford , providing high-quality care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years . Our dedicated team works closely with families to provide a nurturing, structured, and engaging early years experience. Position Overview We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprentice to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a supportive environment while working towards your Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification. As an apprentice, you will support children's learning and development across all age rooms, assisting in daily care routines, activity preparation, and maintaining a safe and inclusive environment. Key Responsibilities • Support children’s development through play-based learning, planned activities, and daily routines. • Assist in age-appropriate care routines including hygiene, nappy changing, toileting, and meal times. • Help set up and tidy learning environments, both indoors and outdoors. • Observe, monitor, and record children’s progress in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). • Work collaboratively with room leaders and other staff to meet the individual needs of children. • Support in promoting emotional well-being and building secure relationships with children. • Ensure the nursery environment is clean, safe, and welcoming at all times. • Follow safeguarding procedures and health and safety policies to ensure the well-being of every child. • Communicate professionally and respectfully with children, staff, and families. • Participate actively in apprenticeship training and development activities. Requirements • Must hold or be working toward a Level 2 Early Years qualification . • A strong interest in child development and early education. • Positive, flexible, and reliable attitude. • Good communication and teamwork skills. • Willingness to work across all age groups from babies to pre-schoolers. • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. • Ability to work shifts within nursery opening hours. Desirable • Experience in a nursery or childcare setting is beneficial but not essential. • Desire to progress to a full-time permanent role upon completion of the apprenticeship.
