Economics Teacher - Westminster, Central London
We are partnering with a prestigious secondary school in the heart of Westminster to find an exceptional Economics Teacher . This is a prime opportunity for a highly qualified and ambitious educator to join a leading institution renowned for its academic rigour and strong track record of success in the social sciences.
The Role
The school is looking for an inspirational Economics Teacher with proven experience teaching the subject at both GCSE and A-Level . The ideal candidate will be adept at fostering critical thinking and making complex global and domestic economic issues relevant to students. Your key responsibilities will include:
• Delivering outstanding, intellectually stimulating lessons in Economics (micro and macro) to students up to A-Level.
• Developing and implementing a rigorous curriculum that challenges students to analyze contemporary economic data and policy debates.
• Thoroughly preparing students for demanding examinations and guiding those aiming for Economics and related degrees at top universities.
• Contributing to the school's scholarly culture, potentially by running an investment club or leading a debating society focused on economic policy.
• Working collaboratively with the Humanities and Business faculties.
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this elite position, you should have:
• A degree in Economics or a closely related quantitative field from a strong university.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a PGCE.
• Extensive proven experience teaching Economics at the A-Level , with a demonstrable history of achieving excellent student outcomes.
• Deep and current knowledge of economic theory, models, and real-world application.
• Excellent communication, scholarly presentation, and classroom leadership skills.
Salary & Application
The salary for this position is highly competitive and will be paid to the MPS/UPS scale (Inner London pay scale), commensurate with your experience and superior qualifications.
