This is a full-time teaching role, with the opportunity to start immediately, delivering high-quality lessons and supporting students’ academic success in Economics. • Economics Teacher – full-time, permanent • Secondary school in Hampshire • Start date: ASAP • Competitive teaching salary, dependent on experience About the Role The successful candidate will teach Economics across Key Stages 4 and 5, inspiring students to develop critical thinking and analytical skills. The school is looking for a teacher who can engage students, create stimulating lessons, and support them in achieving excellent examination results. Key responsibilities include: • Planning and delivering engaging and effective Economics lessons across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5. • Preparing students for GCSE and A-Level examinations. • Assessing, monitoring, and reporting on student progress to ensure strong outcomes. • Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of students with varying abilities and learning styles. • Supporting students who require additional help through intervention sessions and targeted support. • Creating a positive classroom environment that encourages discussion, participation, and independent thinking. • Collaborating with colleagues to develop resources, schemes of work, and best practices. • Participating in departmental meetings, professional development, and school initiatives. • Promoting students’ understanding of the wider economic environment, including current affairs and real-world applications. Candidate Requirements • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification. • Strong subject knowledge in Economics and awareness of exam board specifications. • Excellent classroom management and communication skills. • Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their potential. • Commitment to supporting students’ academic and personal development. • Ability to work collaboratively within a supportive department.
