This is a full-time role within a supportive and values-led school that places strong emphasis on academic achievement, literacy development, and student wellbeing. English is a highly valued subject across the school, with students developing strong skills in reading, writing, analysis, and spoken communication. About the Role You will teach English across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, delivering engaging lessons in both English Language and English Literature. Students will study a broad range of literary texts including prose, poetry, drama, and non-fiction while developing analytical thinking, extended writing, and communication skills. You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level English examinations, supporting them in building confidence with interpretation, academic writing, and exam technique. You will work collaboratively within a successful English department to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
