The Role • Teach English Language and English Literature across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for a suitably experienced candidate. • Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons that promote high levels of student achievement. • Assess, monitor and track pupil progress, providing targeted intervention where required. • Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking and independent learning. • Contribute to curriculum planning, enrichment activities and the wider life of the school. • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning. The Ideal Candidate • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. • Has experience teaching English within a secondary school setting. • Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and strong classroom management skills. • Has high expectations of all learners and a commitment to raising attainment. • Is an effective communicator who enjoys working collaboratively within a supportive team. • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
