About the Role As Finance Officer , you will support day-to-day financial processes, ensuring transactions are accurate and records are maintained to a high standard. Responsibilities typically include: • Processing purchase orders, invoices and supplier payments • Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation for audit purposes • Supporting budget monitoring and producing routine reports where required • Managing income processing (trips, payments, other income streams) • Liaising with suppliers and resolving queries professionally • Supporting procurement processes and value-for-money procedures • Supporting finance systems administration and spreadsheet tracking • Handling confidential information securely and professionally Key Information • Location: Harlow, Essex • Start Date: ASAP / next term (or by agreement) • Contract: Full-time, permanent (or as agreed) • Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience What the School is Looking For • Experience in finance administration, accounts, purchasing or a similar role • Strong attention to detail and confidence working with numbers and systems • Excellent organisation and ability to manage deadlines consistently • Professional communication skills when liaising with colleagues and suppliers • Confidence using spreadsheets and finance/database-style systems • Understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding in education School-based finance experience is desirable but not essential for a strong candidate with transferable experience.
