Food Technology Teacher Wigan | September Start | Full-Time | Through Veritas Education Veritas Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Wigan to recruit a dedicated Food Technology Teacher for a September start. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher who is passionate about food, nutrition, and practical learning. The successful candidate will join a well-established Design & Technology department and inspire students to develop essential culinary skills, creativity, and knowledge of healthy living. The Role • Teaching Food Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4. • Planning and delivering engaging practical and theory-based lessons. • Assessing, monitoring, and supporting student progress. • Creating a safe and positive learning environment within the food technology classroom. • Promoting high standards of teaching, learning, and behaviour. • Contributing to the wider life of the department and school. The Ideal Candidate • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. • Experience teaching Food Technology in a secondary school setting. • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for food education. • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills. • Ability to motivate and inspire students of varying abilities. • Strong communication and organisational skills. ECTs and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply.
