Geography Teacher Location: Pontypool Pay: Starting from M2 (£172.98 per day), paid to scale for long-term assignments. Start date: September 2026 Contract: Long-term supply contract until January 2027. Teaching Personnel is recruiting for a Geography Teacher to join a secondary school in Pontypool This is an excellent opportunity to inspire pupils and bring Geography to life through engaging lessons covering physical, human and environmental topics. The role As a Geography Teacher, you will: • Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4. • Teach a range of physical and human Geography topics. • Support pupils preparing for assessments and GCSE examinations. • Assess progress and provide constructive feedback. • Adapt lessons for pupils with different learning needs and abilities. • Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment. • Contribute to the wider work of the Humanities department. What we are looking for The successful Geography Teacher will: • Hold Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. • Have experience teaching Geography within a secondary school. • Have strong subject and curriculum knowledge. • Demonstrate effective classroom and behaviour-management skills. • Be reliable, adaptable and committed to pupil progress. • Be available for a long-term position from September 2026.
