Key Responsibilities: • Plan and deliver high-quality History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 for suitable candidates. • Create an engaging learning environment that promotes curiosity and a love of history. • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school policies. • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND and additional learning needs. • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and attendance. • Contribute to the wider Humanities department and school community. • Participate in parents' evenings, departmental meetings, and school events as required. The Ideal Candidate Will Have: • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. • Experience teaching History within a secondary school setting. • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring young people. • Excellent classroom management and communication skills. • The ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons that support progress for all learners. • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
