About the role

Empowering Learning is looking to appoint 2 motivated and innovative History Teachers initially on a temporary basis, with the potential to become permanent for the right person. You will play a key role in developing and strengthening a successful Humanities department. This role is ideal for someone with a strong History background who is passionate about improving outcomes, engaging students, and helping young people develop a deeper understanding of the world around them. Based within a secondary school in South Oxfordshire, you will have a central role in delivering an engaging and challenging History curriculum. You will inspire students to think critically, analyse evidence, and develop their understanding of significant historical events and their impact on society. Working as part of a committed and supportive team, you will contribute to high-quality teaching and learning across the department. As the school continues to expand and develop, we welcome applications from experienced practitioners who are keen to contribute to ongoing improvement and help shape the future success of the department.
