This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic History specialist , ECT History Teacher , or experienced Humanities Teacher to make a lasting impact on student progress and achievement. The Role As a Teacher of History , you will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will: • Plan and deliver high-quality History lessons in line with the National Curriculum • Teach a broad range of historical topics, developing students' understanding of key events, interpretations, and historical enquiry skills • Assess and monitor student progress, providing effective feedback to support attainment and achievement • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity, discussion, and critical thinking • Prepare students for GCSE History examinations and support them in achieving their full potential • Contribute to the wider Humanities department and participate in enrichment activities such as history clubs, educational visits, and themed events What We're Looking For • Qualified Teacher Status ( QTS ) or equivalent • A degree in History or a related subject • Experience teaching History at secondary level in the UK • Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills • Excellent communication and organisational abilities • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare • Experience teaching GCSE History is highly desirable • Experience teaching A-Level History , Humanities , or related subjects would be advantageous Why Register with Reed Education?
