Year 5 Class Teacher (Maternity Cover) Location: Larkhill
Contract: Fixed-term Maternity Cover
Start Date: September 2026
Salary: MPS M1-M6 We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and inspiring Year 5 Class Teacher to join our friendly and supportive school community in Larkhill on a fixed-term maternity cover from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher who is committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning, building positive relationships with pupils, and making a real difference to children's educational journey. The Role The successful candidate will have full teaching responsibilities, including: Planning and delivering engaging, high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
Assessing, monitoring, and reporting on pupil progress.
Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
Managing classroom behaviour effectively.
Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to support pupil achievement.
Contributing to the wider life of the school. We Are Looking For Someone Who: Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Has experience teaching within Key Stage 2 (Year 5 experience is desirable but not essential).
Has high expectations for pupil achievement and behaviour.
Is organised, proactive, and committed to raising standards.
Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
