Primary Teacher (Year 4/5) • Location: Taunton • Salary: Paid to scale • Job Type: Part-time, Long-term We are seeking an experienced Primary Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Taunton. This role involves teaching a mixed Year 4/5 class on a long-term basis. It is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated teacher looking for a consistent part-time position. Day-to-day of the role: • Teach a mixed class of Year 4/5 students on Thursdays and Fridays. • Full teaching responsibilities including planning, preparation, marking, and assessment. • Deliver engaging and effective lessons that cater to the needs of approximately 40 pupils. • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other staff to enhance the learning environment. • Utilise additional classroom support effectively to ensure all students are supported in their learning. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. • Proven experience in primary education, particularly with Year 4 and Year 5 students. • Strong ability to plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons. • Excellent classroom management skills. • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently. • A commitment to professional development and maintaining high teaching standards.
