Teaching Personnel is recruiting dedicated Learning Support Assistants to work full-time in specialist SEN and SEMH schools across Portsmouth from September. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine impact on the lives of children and young people with a range of additional needs. The Role As a Learning Support Assistant, you will: Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with additional needs. Help create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment. Support students with social, emotional and behavioural development. Work alongside teachers and other professionals to deliver personalised learning. Encourage confidence, independence and positive relationships. Assist with classroom activities and help pupils achieve their individual goals. The Schools You'll be working in specialist schools supporting pupils with a variety of additional needs, including: Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) ADHD Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs Complex behavioural needs Every day is different, offering new challenges and incredibly rewarding moments as you help pupils overcome barriers to learning.
