Supporting secondary-aged pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), associated communication needs and varying learning profiles, the school is recognised for its structured, nurturing environment and commitment to helping every pupil achieve both academically and personally. You'll use visual learning, structured routines and practical teaching strategies to develop mathematical understanding, independence and confidence while working collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and therapists to achieve EHCP outcomes. ASD Maths Teacher What the School is Looking For The ideal ASD Maths Teacher will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have experience teaching Mathematics within either a specialist or mainstream setting. Previous experience supporting pupils with Autism would be advantageous, although the school welcomes applications from outstanding teachers looking to transition into specialist education. They're seeking a calm, organised and creative practitioner who understands the importance of routine, communication and building positive relationships. Please note, applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK, as we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position. This is not a relocation opportunity.
