This leading Independent All-Girls Day and Boarding School located on the beautiful East Sussex Coast (near the West Sussex border) is seeking an inspirational Mathematics Teacher for a permanent, full-time position starting January 2026. The school provides a unique environment where girls truly flourish in STEM. The successful teacher will promote mathematical confidence, rigour, and problem-solving skills across the curriculum, encouraging girls to aim for the highest levels of attainment.
Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver highly engaging Maths lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 (GCSE), and potentially 5 (A-Level), with a focus on inspiring deep conceptual understanding.
• Facilitate an environment where girls are encouraged to take intellectual risks and build confidence in challenging mathematical applications.
• Actively engage with the school’s co-curricular programme, running societies or preparing students for national Maths challenges.
• Contribute to the strong pastoral and supportive life of the school, upholding its commitment to every girl's success.
• Utilise small class sizes to provide individual attention, ensuring excellent progress is achieved.
Requirements
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent and a relevant degree in Mathematics.
• A passion for teaching in an all-girls environment and developing leadership and confidence in female pupils.
• Proven ability to teach a rigorous curriculum up to GCSE level.
• A willingness to fully embrace the warm, vibrant, and diverse family atmosphere of the school.
