Veritas Education is currently recruiting a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Wakefield. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic practitioner to inspire students and play a key role in raising attainment within a supportive and forward-thinking mathematics department.

The Role As a Maths Teacher, you will:
• Plan and deliver engaging and challenging Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential opportunities to teach Key Stage 5.
• Inspire students to develop confidence and competence in mathematics.
• Monitor, assess, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement.
• Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of learners of varying abilities.
• Contribute to a positive learning environment that promotes high expectations and excellent behaviour.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and share best practice.
• Participate fully in departmental and whole-school initiatives.
The Ideal Candidate We are looking for a candidate who:
• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Has experience teaching Mathematics within a UK secondary school setting.
• Possesses strong subject knowledge and a passion for mathematics.
• Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills.
• Has high expectations for student achievement and behaviour.
• Is committed to delivering inclusive and engaging lessons that support all learners.
• Can build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
