This is a rewarding opportunity to work directly with students, supporting their social, emotional and academic development. No two days are the same. You might be helping a student manage anxiety, supporting a family to improve attendance, working alongside staff to remove barriers to learning, or providing guidance to a young person who simply needs someone to listen.
If you are passionate about supporting young people and want to make a genuine difference every day, we would love to hear from you.
About the Role
Working alongside Achievement Leaders and the Inclusion Manager, you will provide day-to-day pastoral support to students across the school and help create an environment where every young person feels safe, included and able to achieve their potential.

• Providing pastoral support to individual students and small groups.
• Supporting students with social, emotional and behavioural needs.
• Promoting positive attitudes towards learning, attendance and behaviour.
• Working closely with parents, carers and external agencies.
• Supporting early intervention strategies to prevent barriers to learning from escalating.
• Contributing to safeguarding and student wellbeing initiatives.
• Helping students develop confidence, resilience and a sense of belonging within the school community.
Whilst the role will be linked to specific year groups, there will also be opportunities to support students across the wider school.
We Are Looking for Someone Who:
• Has recent experience of working directly with young people in an educational setting.
• Builds positive relationships quickly and effectively.
• Is calm, empathetic and solution focused.
• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Can work effectively with students, parents and colleagues.
• Is committed to inclusion, safeguarding and student wellbeing.
• Can motivate and support young people to be successful.
Experience in pastoral support, behaviour support, mentoring, youth work, family support, SEND provision or a similar role would be advantageous.
