The pastoral structure is well-established, with Heads of Year, safeguarding leads, counsellors, and specialist mentors working collaboratively. The Pastoral Support Team benefits from strong leadership, ongoing training, and access to a dedicated wellbeing hub that includes quiet rooms, counselling spaces, and intervention areas. Role Information The Pastoral Support Officer will work daily with students who require behavioural, emotional, or social support. Duties include: • Conducting 1:1 pastoral check-ins • Supporting behaviour interventions and restorative conversations • Liaising with parents, carers, and external services • Monitoring attendance and punctuality concerns • Keeping detailed records on safeguarding systems • Providing crisis support when needed • Delivering small-group wellbeing sessions • Supporting reintegration plans and pastoral behaviour programmes This role requires calmness, excellent communication skills, emotional resilience, and the ability to build trust with young people while maintaining professional boundaries.
