PE Teacher – Full-time, temporary to permanent from September 2026

This PE Teacher role offers a full-time, temporary to permanent opportunity within a supportive secondary school setting from September 2026. The PE Teacher will deliver high-quality physical education lessons, promoting participation, confidence, and healthy lifestyles. The role is particularly suited to a PE Teacher with experience teaching female students and a passion for inclusive, engaging PE provision. Duties as PE Teacher:
• Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Teach PE to secondary-aged pupils, with a focus on female student participation
• Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed learning environment
• Promote physical fitness, teamwork, and positive attitudes to sport
• Adapt activities to meet the needs and abilities of all pupils
• Use assessment to monitor progress and encourage pupil development
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, effort, and participation
• Contribute to extracurricular sport and enrichment activities where required
• Work collaboratively with the PE department and wider staff team
• Uphold safeguarding, welfare, and health and safety responsibilities at all times
Ideal PE Teacher:
• Holds Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• Experience teaching PE at secondary level
• Proven experience teaching and engaging female students
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Enthusiastic, energetic, and motivational teaching style
• Ability to inspire participation and confidence in physical activity
• Organised, reliable, and committed to long-term progression
• Willingness to start on a temporary basis with the opportunity to become permanent
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
