Premises Manager Location: Edgware, North West London Start Date: September 2026 Contract: Full-Time, Permanent (52 weeks per year) We are seeking an experienced, reliable, and proactive Premises Manager to join our friendly and welcoming primary school in Edgware from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional who takes pride in maintaining a safe, secure, and well-presented school environment where children can thrive. Key Responsibilities Ensure the school site, buildings, and grounds are safe, secure, clean, and well maintained. Carry out routine maintenance, repairs, and statutory health and safety checks. Manage site security, including opening and closing the school. Oversee contractors and monitor maintenance projects. Ensure compliance with all health and safety legislation, including fire safety and premises compliance requirements. Support with school events, lettings, and emergency call-outs when required. Maintain accurate maintenance, compliance, and statutory inspection records. Work closely with the Headteacher and School Business Manager to ensure the efficient day-to-day running of the school site.Essential Requirements Proven experience working as a Premises Manager, Site Manager, or Facilities Manager within a school or other educational setting. Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and statutory compliance within schools. Experience managing contractors and planned preventative maintenance programmes. Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities. A current Enhanced DBS certificate registered with the DBS Update Service is essential.
