School Business Manager (SBM)
A Good secondary school in Sutton is seeking an experienced and highly organised School Business Manager to join their senior leadership team. This is a key strategic role within the school, overseeing financial, operational and administrative functions to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the school.
The successful candidate will lead on financial planning, budget management and resource allocation, ensuring value for money and compliance with financial regulations. You will also oversee areas including HR administration, premises management, contracts, health and safety and operational compliance.
Working closely with the Headteacher and governors, you will contribute to whole-school improvement planning and support the long-term strategic development of the school. The role requires strong leadership skills, financial expertise and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
You will line manage support staff teams and ensure that systems and procedures operate efficiently across all operational areas. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential, alongside the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.
