Are you a newly qualified Science Teacher eager to start your teaching journey in a supportive and forward-thinking environment? A welcoming secondary school in Thurrock is looking for a motivated and passionate ECT to join their science department from September 2025. This full-time, permanent role is ideal for an Early Career Teacher seeking the opportunity to grow and develop professionally with guidance and structure in place.
The school offers a strong induction programme, excellent CPD, and experienced mentors who will help you thrive. You'll teach across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging lessons that encourage curiosity, scientific thinking, and real-world connections.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver inspiring and inclusive science lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Participate in the school’s structured ECT programme and CPD opportunities.
• Monitor, assess, and support student progress.
• Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and scientific enquiry.
• Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities.
• Foster a positive and well-managed learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and the wider school team.
Qualifications and Experience:
• QTS or expected QTS by September 2025 (essential).
• A degree in a science-related subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Combined).
• No experience required—just enthusiasm and a commitment to learning.
• Strong classroom presence and communication skills.
• A passion for science and inclusive teaching.
• Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.
