About the role
Science Teacher Prospero Teaching is working with a secondary school in the Dibden Purlieu area to recruit a qualified and enthusiastic Science Teacher (QTS) for a permanent role starting in September . This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and well-established Science department within a school committed to delivering high-quality education.
You will be responsible for teaching Science across KS3 and KS4, supporting pupils of varying abilities to develop strong subject knowledge and achieve their potential. The school welcomes applications from specialists in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Combined Science , as well as both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) .
This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher looking to secure a permanent position ahead of the new academic year.
The Role: • Teach Science across KS3 and KS4
• Deliver engaging lessons in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Combined Science
• Plan and deliver structured, high-quality lessons
• Assess and monitor pupil progress
• Support pupils of varying abilities to achieve strong outcomes
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and engagement
• Contribute to departmental planning and collaboration
• Follow safeguarding and school policies consistently
Ideal Candidate: • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Strong subject knowledge in Science
• Experience teaching at secondary level or strong ECT placement experience
• Confident classroom practitioner or developing teaching practice
• Effective behaviour management skills
• Organised and committed to delivering high standards
• Suitable for experienced teachers and ECTs

• Start Date: September
• Working Pattern: Full-time
• Contract Type: Permanent
• Pay Rate: £32,916 - £51,047 per annum (M1-U3)
• Key Stages: KS3-KS4
Experience, Training & Safeguarding: • QTS required
• Secondary Science teaching experience preferred
• ECTs welcome to apply
• Safeguarding training can be provided
