Science Teacher – Derby (QTS Required) Location: Derby Contract Type: Temp to perm Start Date: April 2026 Pay Rate: £150–£230 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities) Qualification: QTS required Experience: Minimum 6 months’ teaching experience in a UK secondary school Overview: Education Personnel are delighted to be working in partnership with a progressive and well-respected secondary school in Derby to recruit a dedicated Science Teacher for a full-time position starting April 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Science educator to contribute to a thriving department and support students at KS4 and potentially Science at KS5. Key Responsibilities: * Deliver the KS3 & KS4 Science curriculum, with KS5 teaching available if experienced. * Plan, prepare, and assess Science lessons in line with department policies * Monitor student progress and implement appropriate interventions * Contribute to department improvement planning Science * Attend staff meetings, CPD, and parents’ evenings as required The Ideal Candidate: * Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) * Has at least 6 months of classroom teaching Science experience in a UK secondary setting * Is passionate about Business education and student achievement * Has excellent behaviour management and communication skills * Demonstrates a collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to school life Why apply through Education Personnel?
