The Role: Teaching & Leadership Scope
This full-time position requires the delivery of engaging, high-quality lessons across all key stages and the willingness to take on an additional responsibility area.
Core Teaching Responsibilities:
• Instructional Excellence: Teach Science across Key Stage 3, with the ability to specialize and teach one subject ( Biology, Chemistry, or Physics ) to A-Level .
• Practical Mastery: Plan and lead dynamic, hands-on practical sessions, ensuring high standards of safety and student inquiry.
• Attainment Focus: Utilize data effectively to monitor student progress, provide targeted support, and ensure strong outcomes in all public examinations.
Potential TLR Responsibilities (Negotiable):
For candidates demonstrating suitable experience and ambition, a TLR may be offered for a role such as:
• Key Stage 3 Science Coordinator: Leading the KS3 curriculum development and transition programme.
• Assessment & Data Lead: Driving data analysis and whole-department assessment strategy.
• STEM/Enrichment Coordinator: Developing and managing extracurricular science clubs, trips, and competitions.
Candidate Profile: Skills for Success
We are looking for a highly capable, QTS-certified teacher with strong academic credentials and a passion for science education.
Essential Requirements:
• Qualification: A strong degree in a Science discipline (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics).
• Certification: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent UK teaching qualification.
• Experience: Proven, successful experience teaching Science at the secondary level, with expertise at A-Level in your specialist area.

Remuneration & Next Steps
