About the role

Grass Roots Academic Support are seeking a skilled and dedicated Science Teacher to work within an SEMH school in the Thetford area About the Role The successful candidate will deliver engaging and high-quality science lessons across Key Stages 3 to 4 You will be responsible for maintaining excellent standards of teaching and learning, supporting pupil progress, and contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment. You will also provide calm, consistent support to pupils with autism and other complex needs, helping to create a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: * Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons in line with the national curriculum. * Mark and assess student work, providing clear feedback to support progress. * Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management. * Model respectful, inclusive behaviour and contribute to a classroom culture where every student feels valued, heard, and respected. About the School * A supportive school for students aged 06–16 who are currently unable to access mainstream education due to challenging behaviour, ASC, or other complex needs. * A school that creates safe and nurturing environments for students with special educational needs, valuing diversity and supporting young people to thrive. * Offers a broad, balanced, and personalised curriculum, taught by experienced subject specialists in small, structured environments. * Driven by the belief that every young person can achieve, the school promotes innovation, optimism, and ambition for both students and staff. Requirements To be considered for the role of SEMH Teacher, you will: * Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. * Have excellent classroom management and communication skills. * Hold a valid DBS certificate on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one).
