Supply Science Teacher | Schools in Swindon | September Start Location: Swindon and surrounding areas Start date: September Role: Supply Science Teacher Contract: Supply, day-to-day and short-term cover Pay: Competitive daily rate, dependent on experience Are you a qualified Science Teacher looking for flexible supply work from September? Monarch Education are working with schools in and around Swindon who are looking for reliable, confident and adaptable Science Teachers to support pupils across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 from the start of the new academic year. The role As a Supply Science Teacher, you will deliver engaging pre-planned Science lessons, maintain a safe and purposeful classroom environment and support pupils with their scientific knowledge, practical understanding and confidence during teacher absence. This role is ideal for qualified teachers who are looking for flexible supply work, short-term cover or the possibility of longer-term placements depending on school requirements. You will be: * Delivering pre-planned Science lessons across KS3 and KS4 * Supporting pupils with scientific knowledge, enquiry skills and practical understanding * Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies * Promoting a safe, organised and positive learning environment * Adapting teaching approaches to meet different learning needs * Encouraging curiosity, confidence and independent thinking * Working closely with department staff and senior leaders * Providing feedback to teaching staff where required * Following safeguarding procedures, health and safety expectations and school policies at all times We are looking for someone who is: * A qualified teacher with QTS * Experienced or confident teaching Science in a UK secondary school setting * Confident delivering lessons across KS3 and KS4 * Flexible, reliable and professional * Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff quickly * Calm and confident with classroom management * Organised, proactive and adaptable * Committed to supporting pupil progress, confidence and wellbeing Requirements: * Qualified Teacher Status * Experience teaching Science in a UK school setting * Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one * Right to work in the UK * Willingness to complete registration, compliance and safeguarding checks Apply now If you are a qualified Science Teacher looking for supply work in schools across Swindon from September, we would love to hear from you.
