Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Science Technician to join a welcoming and well-established secondary school in Farnworth, Bolton , from September 2026. The successful candidate will join a supportive Science Department and play an important role in preparing practical lessons, maintaining equipment and ensuring laboratories are safe and well organised. Location: Farnworth, Bolton Role: Science Technician Contract: Full-time, Temporary Start Date: September 2026 The Role Your responsibilities will include: • Preparing equipment and resources for practical Science lessons. • Supporting teachers with experiments and demonstrations. • Maintaining and organising laboratories and equipment. • Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering supplies. • Carrying out routine checks and basic equipment maintenance. • Following all relevant health and safety procedures. The Ideal Candidate The school would ideally suit someone with previous experience as a Science Technician, Laboratory Technician or in a relevant scientific or technical environment. Relevant qualifications or practical experience will also be considered. You will be organised, reliable and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Travel Information The school is based in Farnworth, Bolton , and is easily accessible from Bolton, Kearsley, Little Lever, Walkden and Worsley .
