Pay Rate: From £172.98 per day
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Contract: Full Academic Year
About the Role
We are excited to be recruiting a passionate and adaptable Secondary School Teacher to join one of our welcoming partner schools in Pontypool.
You'll inspire and support learners across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential opportunities in Key Stage 5 ), delivering engaging lessons that help students build confidence and achieve their full potential.
The school offers a supportive and collaborative environment , making it an excellent opportunity for both Early Career Teachers and experienced educators . You'll also have the chance to get involved in the wider school community through extracurricular activities, events, and parent engagement.

✅ What We’re Looking For
We welcome applications from individuals who:
• Have experience—or are eager to gain experience—teaching in a secondary school setting (KS3 and KS4 essential; KS5 desirable)
• Can plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the national curriculum
• Create an inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environment for all learners
• Demonstrate strong classroom management , behaviour strategies, and confident communication skills
• Show commitment to student progress, wellbeing, and achievement
• Have a genuine passion for education and want to make a positive, lasting impact
Requirements
To be considered for the role, you will need:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) , or be in the process of completing your teacher training/induction
If you don’t yet have all the necessary documentation, Teaching Personnel can support you in obtaining:
• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
• An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
• Level 2 Safeguarding training
• Minimum two recent professional references covering the 24 months

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
