Secondary Teacher

TeacherActive is recruiting on behalf of a supportive secondary school in Mountain Ash for an experienced KS3 Teacher to work within their Behaviour Base (EBD). This is a fantastic opportunity for a resilient, confident, and passionate teacher with a strong background in supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons to Key Stage 3 pupils while creating a structured, positive, and supportive learning environment that promotes both academic progress and personal development. This is a long-term temporary position, starting as soon as possible and continuing until Christmas. The successful candidate will: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. Have extensive experience teaching pupils with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) or significant behavioural needs. Demonstrate excellent behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive, professional relationships with challenging learners. Be confident planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons for Key Stage 3 pupils. Remain calm, adaptable, and resilient in a fast-paced environment. Be committed to helping every pupil achieve their potential through consistency, high expectations, and a nurturing approach. The school offers: A welcoming and supportive leadership team.
