SEMH Learning Support Assistant – Sports Background ⚽ Do you have a background in sports? ⚾ Do you want to make a real difference in the lives of young people? Do you enjoy working with children and have a passion for supporting those with additional needs? Have you had personal experience supporting SEMH, SEND, or challenging behaviour? If so, this could be the perfect role for you! Protocol Education are looking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant / Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEMH school in Harlow. A background in sports would be highly beneficial, as many pupils engage well through physical activity, teamwork, and structured routines. A desire to support young people and make a positive impact is essential, but previous school experience is not required! You will be joining a fantastic team that works with young people who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs , as well as a range of additional needs including SEND, ASD, and challenging behaviour. A friendly yet calm, strong, and resilient approach to supporting pupils is important. The successful candidate will be able to quickly build positive relationships, provide encouragement, and support students in developing confidence, emotional regulation, and engagement with learning. This is a long-term, full-time position , so we are looking for candidates who are available 5 days a week between the hours of 8:15am – 4:00pm .
