SEMH Teaching Assistant (Social, Emotional & Mental Health)
Location: Norwich
Pay: £90 - £110
Hours: Full-time, Term Time Only
Are you someone who enjoys helping young people overcome challenges and reach their potential?
We're looking for a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a specialist setting supporting children and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs. Every day is different, but the reward of seeing a child grow in confidence and achieve something they didn't think was possible makes it all worthwhile.
What you'll be doing
• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
• Building positive relationships and becoming a trusted adult in the classroom.
• Helping pupils stay engaged with learning and manage their emotions.
• Supporting the class teacher with lessons and activities.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and celebrating every success, big or small.
• Working closely with teachers and other professionals to provide the best support for each pupil.
We're looking for someone who:
• Has experience working with children or young people (school, care, youth work or similar).
• Is calm, patient and resilient.
• Can build strong relationships and communicate well with others.
• Is confident supporting children who may display challenging behaviour.
• Wants to make a genuine difference in a young person's life.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
