About the role
We're is working with a fantastic primary school in Ascot that is seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join their specialist SEN Unit from September.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work with a highly supportive team, helping children with Autism and complex additional needs thrive both academically and personally.
About the Role:
You will be teaching a small class of 13–16 primary-aged pupils with Autism and complex needs, supported by an exceptional team of approximately nine experienced SEN Support Staff. The unit provides a nurturing, structured environment where every child receives tailored support to help them achieve their full potential.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCPs.
• Creating a calm, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
• Working collaboratively with a large team of SEN Teaching Assistants and support staff.
• Monitoring pupil progress and adapting learning to meet individual needs.
• Supporting pupils' communication, social, emotional, and independence skills.
• Building strong relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals.
The Ideal Candidate • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Has experience working with children with Autism (ASC) and/or complex additional needs.
• Is patient, empathetic, and resilient.
• Has excellent behaviour management and communication skills.
• Enjoys working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Is passionate about helping every child succeed.
