SL6 | Full Time | September 2026 Start
MPS/UPS (dependent on experience) | Permanent
Are you an enthusiastic SEN Teacher looking for your next opportunity within a supportive and forward-thinking school?
Apex Educ8 is recruiting on behalf of a specialist school in SL6 seeking a committed SEN Teacher to join their team this September. This is an excellent opportunity to inspire and support pupils with additional needs while working alongside an experienced and dedicated staff team.
The Role You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality, personalised teaching that enables pupils with Special Educational Needs to achieve their full potential in a positive and engaging learning environment.
Responsibilities • Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons.
• Adapt learning to meet individual pupil needs and EHCP outcomes.
• Create an engaging, safe and inclusive classroom environment.
• Monitor progress and assess pupil achievement.
• Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists and families.
• Contribute to annual reviews, reports and school assessments.
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding and professional practice.
About You We're looking for an enthusiastic teacher who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for every pupil.
Essential Requirements • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching pupils with Special Educational Needs.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A proactive, flexible and compassionate approach.
Desirable Experience Experience supporting pupils with:
• Autism (ASC)
• ADHD
• SEMH
• Speech, Language & Communication Needs
• Moderate or Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD)
• Complex Needs
Experience within specialist schools, resource provisions or mainstream SEN settings would be highly advantageous.
