About the role

Full Time, Permanent 40hrs a week £30,000 to £44,304 per annum Simply Education are recruiting for a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join a specialist education setting supporting pupils with complex needs and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs in the Buxton area. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people by delivering engaging, personalised learning in a nurturing and therapeutic environment. You'll be working with small class sizes, allowing you to build positive relationships with pupils and tailor your teaching to help every individual achieve their potential. Located in a beautiful rural setting, this specialist provision offers modern, well-equipped classrooms, excellent outdoor learning opportunities and a supportive team committed to providing the highest standard of education and care. The Role As an SEN Teacher, you will: • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5. • Adapt learning to meet the individual educational, social and emotional needs of each pupil. • Work closely with teaching assistants and wider professionals to support pupil progress. • Create a positive, structured and inclusive learning environment. • Monitor progress, assess learning and prepare reports. • Build strong relationships with parents, carers and external professionals. • Promote independence, confidence and resilience in every learner. • Support pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and individual behaviour plans. About You We're looking for someone who has: • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS) - essential. • A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with SEND. • At least two years' experience working within a SEND school, specialist provision or similar setting. • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills. • A patient, nurturing and adaptable approach to teaching. • The ability to inspire, motivate and engage pupils with a range of additional needs.
