SEN Teacher (ARP – ASD & Complex Needs)
Location: Hounslow Contract Type: Full-time, Fixed-term (September 2026 start, interviews ASAP) ANZUK Education is working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Hounslow seeking an SEN Teacher to join their Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP) from September 2026 (interviews taking place ASAP). This full-time, fixed-term position offers the opportunity to teach a small class of 6–8 pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and complex needs within a highly structured and nurturing environment. The class benefits from the support of two dedicated Teaching Assistants, enabling a collaborative and individualised approach to learning. The school is known for its strong inclusive ethos, excellent pastoral care, and commitment to supporting pupils with additional needs. This role would suit teachers at an early stage in their career who are looking to build experience within a specialist setting. Please note, this position is only suitable for teachers on M1–M3 scale. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with ASD and complex needs.
Develop and implement individualised learning plans (EHCP targets).
Assess and monitor pupil progress, adapting provision to meet individual needs.
Create a calm, structured and inclusive learning environment.
Support pupils’ communication, social, emotional and sensory development.
Work collaboratively with two Teaching Assistants to deliver high-quality support.
Manage behaviour positively in line with the school’s SEN and behaviour policies.
Liaise with parents, carers and external professionals where appropriate. The Ideal Teacher Will: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Be on M1–M3 pay scale (essential requirement).
Have a strong interest or experience in SEN, particularly ASD and complex needs.
Be patient, adaptable and committed to inclusive education.
Have excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
Demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills.
