SEN Teacher (Deaf SEND School) Location: Wandsworth, South West London Start Date: 7th September 2026 Contract: Permanent Salary: Inner London Teachers' Pay Scale 2026/27 (£41,739 - £64,864) + SEN Allowance Suitable for: ECTs and Experienced Teachers SEN Teacher Required - Specialist Deaf SEND School in Wandsworth A highly respected specialist Deaf SEND school in Wandsworth is seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join their team from 7th September 2026 . This is a fantastic opportunity for teachers who have experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and possess either British Sign Language (BSL) knowledge or a recognised BSL qualification . Applications are welcomed from both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced practitioners. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach within one of the following settings: • Year 7 Classroom • Year 8 to Year 10 Classroom • Sixth Form Classroom The school provides a nurturing and inclusive environment where communication, independence, and achievement are at the heart of everything they do. Staff work collaboratively to ensure pupils receive the highest quality education and support, enabling them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. The Ideal Candidate Will Have: • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification. • Experience teaching pupils with SEND. • Knowledge of British Sign Language (BSL) or a recognised BSL qualification. • A passion for supporting deaf learners and helping them reach their full potential. • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. • A commitment to inclusive education and high expectations for all learners.
