SEN Teacher Location: Woking, Surrey Salary: £162 - £251 per day (Dependent on Experience) Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term Start Date: September 2026 Application Closing Date: 21st August 2026 Supply Desk are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join one of our supportive specialist schools in Woking. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire children and young people with Special Educational Needs, helping them to flourish both academically and personally in a nurturing and inclusive environment. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, personalised and differentiated learning to pupils with a range of additional needs, supporting their academic progress, emotional wellbeing and personal development. Working closely with Teaching Assistants and a wider multidisciplinary team, you will create a positive learning environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to meet individual learning needs. • Support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and complex needs. • Create a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom where every pupil feels valued and supported. • Monitor pupil progress and maintain accurate records in line with EHCP outcomes. • Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists, parents, carers and external professionals. • Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing and resilience through a consistent and relationship-focused approach. • Adapt teaching strategies and learning resources to maximise engagement and achievement. • Encourage pupils to develop confidence, communication skills, independence and a love of learning. Requirements • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification. • A passion for delivering high-quality, inclusive education to pupils with Special Educational Needs. • Experience supporting children with Autism, SEMH, ADHD, Speech and Language needs or other additional learning needs is desirable. • A caring, patient and adaptable approach to teaching. • Strong behaviour management and classroom management skills. • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider school team. • Able to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, families and colleagues. • Committed to helping every pupil reach their full potential in a supportive and inclusive environment.
